A broken man finds a woman worth living for in the new novel in #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan’s Torpedo Ink motorcycle club series. Kir “Master” Vasiliev doesn’t care whether he lives or dies. He’s a burnt-out shell with no one and nothing but his club. Whatever Torpedo Ink needs, Master will put himself in harm’s way time after time. If he doesn’t make it back, he’s certain everyone will move on just fine. Investment banker Ambrielle Moore knows her own mind, and she’s not willing to settle for anyone. So when a second-rate gangster and his thugs try to coerce her into marriage—and giving up all of her family’s money—she’s having none of it. Until they turn to cold-blooded murder. Grieving and enraged, Ambrie is ready to go scorched earth on her captors when Master shows up anticipating a damsel in distress. But Ambrie is nothing like he expected, and everything he never knew he desired....

Can't go wrong with this book! Nice change from some of Christine's darker, edgier love stories in this series, all of which I've enjoyed reading, but can make one feel slightly uncomfortable upon occasion. In fact, this series while fascinating, can definitely be triggering for some and troubling for others due to the themes and violence. Now, don't get me wrong...you are getting a Torpedo Ink book here and it's always a bumpy ride on a dark road, but this one has fewer potholes and obstacles to overcome with regard to the hero of the story. You're going to like Master--alot, and the woman who "saves" him even better. Master and Ambrie's chemistry is off the charts and the sex scenes are terrifically done, and Master, like all the Torpedo Ink brothers, is a total badass, but in the best way possible. Moreover, the action advanced the story nicely and gave us more insight into Czar's past decision-making, Blythe's ruthlessness when her family is put at risk, and the comradery between the Brothers, their Sisters and their wives, as well as the tight-knit community with all its lovable, colorful characters along with wonderful appearances by Hannah, Jonas and "Red Hot Jackson"--you'll get the latter reference when you read the book. Too funny. But more importantly, despite his past and mercilessness, Master is just one of the "good ones"--more hero than anti-hero in this story--and more importantly, he never exposed Ambrie to any kind of exhibitionism or voyeurism even within the ranks of his brothers. So, while the sex was hot enough to form blisters, it wasn't abusive or manipulative or what anyone would consider so dark it crossed a line. While I enjoy reading stories that delve into the darker side of sexuality if well written, this book was a nice change of pace because while there was lots of hardcore heat, there wasn't the distraction of a sexual kink or "lifestyle" the hero needed to function normally or keep him sane. So, truly a romance story in the more traditional style, despite the often troubling subject matter (which you understand if you've read any of the books in the series and accept as a running theme that drives Torpedo Ink to take out the bad guys.) In short, if you're looking for a more traditional hero who just happens to be an elite assassin with a prison record, then Master is the right Torpedo Ink brother for you. So, have a cup of tea and a scone and be glad that Hannah made them instead of Blythe and sit back and enjoy this masterfully done book in this wonderful, yet often disturbing but entertaining series. You won't need to recover from this particular road trip, you'll want to immediately take it again! Recovery Road (Torpedo Ink) eBook Download PDF epub I have been a fan of Christine Feehan's since the 90s. I have my favorite characters and my favorite series. The Drake series and the Shadow Rider series are my favorites with Torpedo Ink a close 3rd. Jolie Drake, Ilya Prakenskii, Lana Popov and Absinthe are my favorite characters. I enjoy the stories that showcase the strength of the women. Despite her emotional turmoil Amerie kept moving forward. I was a little surprised by the end. Feehan spends time letting the readers know how much training Ambrielle has and we catch a glimpse during the death scene and the wedding scene but after that nothing for the rest of the book as she battles crippling emotional setbacks and makes some questionable decisions because of them. But that was easy to get past as the story opened up and an extra storyline was added. I enjoy the community scenes with Hannah and hope to see a few more of the Drake sisters and the sisters from the farm. And Blythe! Yesss girl! She handled her business. I do wishe there had been more interaction with Glebe and his team. But all in all another great job by Ms. Feehan.NOW FOR THE RANT:I find though with each new stories I'm liking the Czar's character less and less and I'm getting annoyed at the way Lana is constantly being treated as an afterthought. As though she's just there to be support to Alena, who seems to need coddling in every new story. She and Lana went through the exact same horrific past yet Alena needs the hugs, Alena not only has/had Pierce (who knows where that will lead) but also has...not one man Destroyer, in her past but now she even has Demyan in her past as well. Seriously? I mean can Lana get a storyline of some kind too? Or is she the unlovable one? When Demyan's "love" for Alena was mentioned I literally closed the book for awhile before continuing the story. No offense, Alena is cool but I'm just tired of everything being about her whenever love and heartbreak are introduced. I figure the girls will need to find someone from one of the school how else will their love interest join the club? If Alena and Destroyer work it out then that answers that for her. But where does that leave Lana? I was hoping She was the one with secret regarding Demyan and that he would somehow still be alive and find his way to Lana. Well that was until we found out that he was supposedly in love with Alena because of course no one loves Lana. I'm still hoping he's alive and leading a team somewhere and that team will cross paths with Torpedo Ink, starting another spin-off series. Can't wait for the next installment of Torpedo Ink! PDF Recovery Road (Torpedo Ink) source This is the eight book in this series. It features Kir “Master” Vasiliev. The Treasurer of Torpedo Ink. And Ambrielle Moore, an investments advisor and the daughter of inventors and retired military officers. They have amassed a fortune. And Ambrie has invested and grown the fortune. This has attracted the attention of a very corrupt casino owner and human trafficker. He arranges to have her parents sign over the money to her. He then kills them right in front of her. She is then told that they will be married post haste. She is trained in self defense and is biding he time to kill this monster. Fortunately Torpedo Ink has been monitoring this man. Of course there are miscommunications and self doubt on both sides. But Master proves to be the perfect partner. And their love grows. There is also the usual danger and shenanigans. This is a rich story with a Happily Ever After. The audiobook is narrated by Ryan West. He does an excellent job bringing these characters to life. ePUB Recovery Road (Torpedo Ink) leggi pdf Download (PDF) Recovery Road (Torpedo Ink)
